What we pay, and how you get paid

You send us vintage, Y2K and designer clothing. We cover the postage, a person goes through the parcel, and we make you a cash offer based on what it is genuinely worth. The money lands in your Vrool wallet and you withdraw it to your bank. Credits come on top.

A realistic example
This is the actual guide our team sees when they value a bundle.
Bundle retail value
£300.00
Typical cash offer
£51.00
Credits on top
2 per piece kept

Around 17% of retail is the starting point, not a cap. If the quality is strong our team can and does go higher — up to £500.00 on a single bundle. A person makes the call, so a genuinely good parcel is rewarded rather than run through a formula.

How we grade what arrives
Every parcel is opened and assessed by hand. The grade drives the offer.
A

Excellent, highly sellable

Sought-after brands, true vintage or Y2K, clean and ready to list. This is where offers go well above the guide percentage.

B

Good, mostly sellable

Solid pieces with real demand, maybe a couple we cannot use. Offers land around the guide, give or take.

C

Mixed, few sellable pieces

Mostly high-street or heavily worn with a few keepers. We pay for the keepers, so expect a modest offer.

×

Not sellable

Nothing we can resell. The offer is zero — we will not quietly pay you pennies. You keep the free postage either way.

We would rather be straight with you than optimistic. A bad bundle earns nothing, and we tell you exactly what we kept and what we could not use. No offer is ever made before the parcel is physically with us.
How the money reaches your bank
Cash is paid into your Vrool wallet, then withdrawn to your account.
  1. We grade the parcel and credit your wallet Once your bundle is assessed, the cash offer is credited to your Vrool wallet straight away as a withdrawable balance. You get an email telling you the amount and what we kept.
  2. You add your bank details once Go to bank details and add the account you want to be paid into. This is a one-off step, protected by a one-time code.
  3. You request a withdrawal Open cashout, enter any amount up to your balance, and submit it. There is no minimum on wallet withdrawals, so a small offer is still worth taking out.
  4. We transfer it Our team reviews the request and sends the money to your bank. You can follow the status on the cashout page at any time.
Cash and credits are separate
You get both on a bundle we keep — they are not alternatives.

Cash offer

  • The real payment for your clothes.
  • Decided by a person, based on quality and resale demand.
  • Paid to your wallet, withdrawable to your bank.
  • Zero if the bundle is not sellable.

Vrool credits

  • 2 credits per piece we keep, on top of the cash.
  • Worth £1.00 per 100 credits when spent on Vrool.
  • A thank-you on top, not the payment itself.
  • Valid for 365 days.
Credits are a goodwill top-up for using Vrool — the cash offer is the part that actually pays you. Withdrawing credits as money needs a balance of £5.00 or more, so most people spend them on the platform instead.
What to send us
Sending the right things is the fastest way to a strong offer.

We want

  • True vintage, 90s and Y2K pieces.
  • Recognised streetwear and designer labels.
  • Denim, leather, workwear, sportswear, band and graphic tees.
  • Clean items, wearable, no strong smells.
  • Bundles from about 3.0 kg upwards.

Please do not send

  • Fast-fashion basics with no resale demand.
  • Stained, torn, damaged or heavily bobbled items.
  • Counterfeit or replica branded goods.
  • Underwear, swimwear and worn footwear.
  • Anything wet, damp or unwashed.
Common questions

Does it cost me anything to send?

No. If we accept your offer we cover the postage and send you the posting details. You are never asked to pay to send a parcel, and that stays true even if the bundle turns out to be worth nothing to us.

How do I know the offer is fair?

We tell you the retail value we assessed, the grade we gave it and the cash figure, so you can see the reasoning rather than just a number. The guide is around 17% of retail because we carry the cost of listing, storing and selling each piece, and our team can go above it for strong quality.

What if I am not happy with the offer?

Reply to the email we send you. We would rather talk it through than leave you feeling short-changed, and we keep a record of every bundle so we can go back over it.

How long does the whole thing take?

Usually a few days to hear back on your submission, then grading and payment happen shortly after your parcel reaches us. Bank withdrawals are processed by our team once you request them.

Can a business or shop do this?

Yes, and you do not need an account to make the first approach — choose I’m a business on the form. For larger or regular volumes tell us roughly what you hold and we will come back to you directly.

Do I need an account?

Individuals do, because that is how we pay your cash and credits. Businesses can submit first and we will take it from there.

How many photos should I add?

Up to 6. Clear shots of the actual pieces, plus any labels on the better items, make a real difference to how quickly we can say yes.

Is this taxable?

Selling your own used clothing is not normally taxable, but we cannot give you tax advice. If you are doing this as a business or at volume, check your own position.

Ready to send a bundle?

It takes a couple of minutes. We come back to you before you post anything.
